…”You need a circumcision”
Why? Why must this happen to me? Seriously, why?! When life sends you lemons you’re supposed to make margaritas, not castrate them. But I guess not in this case. I was in for a annual physical exam and the Doctor said everything was fine until he checked for hernia and BAM, he said that I had Balanitis due to the fact that I’ve been exercising too much and there’s bacteria in sweat. Who knew? Long story short, I am off to the Urologist and then they’ll set a date. I cannot believe this, it’s like my manhood is going away. This sucks.
I’ll upload a conclusion after my castration, wish me luck. I hope it’s not too painful. Aw shit, I won’t pee properly for 2 weeks. Morningwood won’t come in handy either… WHY DIDN’T MY PARENTS TAKE CARE OF THIS WAY BEFORE? D:
On a lighter side, I get to pass off as jewish now. And wear a yamaka! Yamakas have a unimaginable amount of swag. I guess that after all, there is something to look forward to… But I won’t be able to bow chika bow-wow for two weeks. TWO WHOLE WEEKS. I’m going to cry and take a few spoonfuls on Nutella now…
PLEASE get a second (or even third) opinion before you decide to get circumcised. Circumcision is rarely the best treatment for penile problems. There is almost always a less invasive/destructive method of treatment. Many doctors tend to be quick to just suggest circumcision as an “easy” fix. But think, does it really sound logical that you need a part of your genitals removed simply because you exercise? Of course not.
For balanitis, there are pills and creams available that are usually sufficient to treat the inflammation. Furthermore, consider your shower routine. Do you use soap on the glans and foreskin? If so, you may want to stop, and just use water. The glans and foreskin of an intact penis are mucous membranes, much like the inside of your eyelid or your mouth. Soap can actually irritate the tissue. It is better to wash those parts with just plenty of clear water.
Foreskin is an integral part of the penis, and many men who were circumcised in adulthood confirm a decrease in sensitivity. You’re lucky to still have your foreskin, so please think carefully before you decide to part with it.
Unfortunately, when it comes to the penis, all doctors know what to do is circumcise. When it comes to recurrent balanitis, soap is often a culprit. Washing the mucosal tissue of the penis irritates the tissue, allowing balanitis to recur.
uncutting has good advice. Please listen.
